The Normandy School District was founded in 1894. It is located in St. Louis County, directly northwest of St. Louis City. The district encompasses unincorporated areas of St. Louis County and the following municipalities:

The Normandy School District enrolls over 4,500 students in preschool through grade 12. The schools are organized on a K-5-3-4 plan.

All professional staff members are fully certified by the Missouri Department of Education. Every school has a full-time, non-teaching principal. The average length of tenure for teachers in the district is 15 years. Over half of the district's staff hold master's degrees.
