This unit coordinates a network of student services (health and social, mental health, counseling) and empowerment of families within the district and larger community. Personnel in this office will facilitate student achievement/adjustment in the school by helping to identify and resolve familial, social and emotional issues so that the student may receive maximum benefit from his/her daily educational experience.

• Coordinates crises intervention for students and their families (including juvenile court issues)
• Student transitions to and from the alternative school
• Assists schools and parents to identify specific ways in which to advocate/collaborate within the academic process
• Develops programs and preventive strategies for those students who may be at risk of academic failure or those who may be behind in their studies

STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT/DRESS CODE
The goal of the Board of Education is to establish and maintain a safe and orderly environment that improves the opportunities for learning and the development of self-discipline and citizenship in our schools. The learning community of parents, teachers, students and all district employees must work together on conduct and behavior so that we can achieve a positive learning environment and teach important lessons about character and citizenship! A uniform discipline code has been established for all students enrolled in the Normandy School District to address discipline and the dress code.
